IMPRESSIONS OF THE VNWA3

This is a very versatile instrument and it is  worth his weight in gold. It provides me with the possibility to test and measure the impedance and transmissions characteristics of almost any circuit or network up to at least 500MHz with good accuracy and from 500 to 1300MHz with sufficient accuracy to give a good indication of circuit

Vector Network Analyzer

Today received a package from SDR-Kits with VNWA (Vector Network Analyzer), developed by Tom Baier DG8SAQ. The instrument  offers possibility for measurement up to 500 MHz with usable performance up to 1.3 GHz.

PRECISION FREQUENCY REFERENCE FOR IC-910

Installed Xref-VT board on my ICOM 910. The board is obtained from VK3HZ . The XRef-VT take a 10 MHz reference signal from a GPS reference or other high accuracy source and provide a precision reference frequency.  This eliminates the problem of radio being off frequency and drifting as it warms up.  If the 10 MHz

Ultimate3S project finished

Today did last modifications on the U3S. Installed 3 off BS170 devices and replaced the L1 with bifilar transformer. For more info see QRP Labs technical info . Additionally installed switch for 12V or 5V for final transistors. Bias setting is set to 2.2V for “save” power and a clean output. I got following output: 28MHz

WSPR ODX SWL Report

My WSPR signal received by CX2ABP/D on 15m band. Running only 100mW and broadband sloppy dipole antenna. Amazing! Rod is living in Montevideo but his callsign /D means that he is at weekend house. Probably he has there a very good antenna.
